MG Gunners Pouch M34 
(Maschinengewehr Werkzeug Tasche Modell 34)

 

The MG Gunners Belt Pouch M34 is basically nothing more then a spare parts pouch.
It's dimensions are aprox. 19,5 x 15,5 x 6 cm.

It has two belt loops on the back and a D-Ring for attaching the Y-Belt.

Normally the pouch was worn on the right side, while a pistol was worn on the left side.
 

From left to right:
- Leather and aluminium early war pouch (1939 dated)
-Artificial leather tan (Preßstoff) pouch with leather straps (1944 dated)
-Artificial leather black (Preßstoff) pouch with leather straps (1945 dated)

 

 

 

 

 

Below, the back side.

Note the difference in manufacturing, the left one is one piece, middle one is riveted, while the right one is stitched.

All straps and lid reinforcement are made of leather.

Manufacturer : gut which stands for: Walter Schürmann & Co., Lederwarenfabrik Bielefeld

Date is 1944.

 

 

 

 

The 45 ersatzleder pouch with the normal way to carry the hand protector.

This item was used to change the hot barrels.
